Share your inbox with a QR code or link
Let customers start a conversation with you without hunting for your website. Scan a code, tap a link, and they’re talking to the right team in seconds.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Every inbox in Synkra Chat comes with its own QR code and shareable link. Both point directly at that inbox, so whoever scans or clicks lands in the right place immediately, with no forms to fill in and no menus to navigate.
You can download the QR code, print it on anything, and put it wherever your customers already are: on a receipt, a business card, a shop window, a table tent, a product label, a flyer, or a poster at an event. The link goes anywhere a URL can go: your email signature, a social media bio, a printed receipt, an SMS, or a WhatsApp message.
Once a customer scans or clicks, the conversation starts. They land in the correct channel, connected to the correct team.
Where to find your QR code and link
Section titled “Where to find your QR code and link”- Go to Settings → Inboxes.
- Find the inbox you want to share.
- Click Configuration next to that inbox.
- Open the Configuration tab.
You’ll see your inbox’s QR code and its shareable link. Both are ready to use immediately.
If you manage several inboxes (sales, support, and billing, for example), each one has its own QR code and link. They’re kept separate on purpose, so scanning a sales QR code routes customers to sales, not support.
Using the QR code
Section titled “Using the QR code”The QR code is an image you can download and use anywhere.
Download it, then:
- Print it on a receipt, invoice, or delivery note
- Add it to a business card
- Place it on a table tent at a restaurant or café
- Stick it on a shop window or counter
- Include it in printed brochures or flyers
- Add it to product packaging
- Display it on a slide at an event or conference
- Include it in a newspaper or magazine advert
Wherever you can put an image, you can put your QR code.
A customer scans it with their phone camera (every modern smartphone supports this by default, and no app is required) and lands straight in a conversation with your team. They can start talking to you immediately.
Using the shareable link
Section titled “Using the shareable link”The link is a plain URL you can share any way you’d share any web address.
Copy the link, then paste it:
- In your email signature
- In an SMS or WhatsApp message
- On your social media profiles
- On a printed receipt or invoice
- In a live chat greeting
- In an outbound marketing email
- In a help centre article or FAQ page
- Anywhere a URL fits
A customer clicks it and lands in the same place a QR scan would take them: a live conversation with your team, ready to start.
What customers see
Section titled “What customers see”When someone scans your QR code or clicks your link, they’re taken straight into the chat experience for that specific inbox. No forms, no login, no browsing. The conversation starts as soon as they type their first message.
The customer sees a simple chat window where they can ask a question, share a photo, send a file, and talk to your team as they would through any messaging app. You’ll see the message in your Synkra Chat inbox the moment it arrives, and can respond just as you would to any other conversation.
Why use a QR code or link?
Section titled “Why use a QR code or link?”Fewer steps for the customer. Instead of finding your website, hunting for a contact page, filling in a form, and waiting for an email reply, they scan a code and start talking. Every step you remove is a step where a customer gives up.
Better placement. A QR code goes where your customers already are, on the physical things they see every day: a shop window, a receipt, a business card. These are places where “visit our website” was never an option.
Right channel, right team. Different QR codes for different inboxes mean a customer scans the one that matches their question and lands with the right team. No mismatched routing, and no “let me transfer you.”
Measurable. Each inbox’s QR code and link is unique to that inbox, so conversations started through them are easy to identify. That’s useful for understanding which placements actually work.
Ready in seconds. Both the QR code and the link are available as soon as you create the inbox. Nothing to configure and nothing to activate.
